Château de Vignée: a gourmet and wellness stay on the banks of the Lesse

Tailor-made rooms, a spa facing the Lesse, and two dining experiences: plan an escape to Château de Vignée in the Belgian Ardennes.

In Villers-sur-Lesse, Château de Vignée stands by the water, between forest and countryside. This Ardennes address combines 24 tailor-made rooms, a wellness area, and two distinct dining options. The place is equally suited to a romantic break for two or a stay built around gastronomy.

Choose from 24 rooms and suites

The hotel offers 24 tailor-made rooms. Comfort rooms are designed for two people, while the Junior Suites and Royal Suite offer more space. Some categories directly overlook the Lesse.

Amenities and occupancy differ from one room to another. Check the view, bed type, bathroom and actual number of occupants before booking, especially for a suite accommodating more than two people.

The wellness area includes an indoor pool and a hammam. Outside, the Finnish sauna enjoys a view over the banks of the Lesse. Residents currently have daily access, while treatments must be booked in advance.

The spa also welcomes non-residents subject to specific time slots and conditions. If wellness is the heart of your stay, confirm the opening hours, included access and treatment availability directly with the property.

ARDEN, the château’s gourmet table

The ARDEN restaurant is led by chef Marius Bosmans, named Young Chef of the Year for Wallonia 2024 by Gault&Millau. His cuisine follows the seasons and draws in particular on vegetables grown in the estate’s greenhouse and kitchen garden.

Opening days and service formats differ between lunch and dinner. The menu, prices and closing periods change: book the table separately and mention any allergies or pregnancy at the time of booking.

The Lounge for a more relaxed experience

The Lounge by Château de Vignée complements the gourmet table with a bistronomic concept. Services are scheduled on different days from ARDEN, allowing the estate to offer dining throughout the week.

Do not assume the two restaurants share the same menu or hours. Check the current schedule and choose your experience before finalizing your accommodation.

Exploring the area around the Lesse

Your stay can easily alternate rest and discovery. Nearby roads and trails pass through woods, villages and valleys; Rochefort, Han-sur-Lesse and the Chevetogne estate are also good ideas for outings depending on how much time you have.

Forest trails can be wet and uneven. Ask the château for a suggestion suited to your level, dress appropriately and check access conditions for attractions before setting out.

Planning your stay at Château de Vignée

  • Address: rue de Montainpré 27-29, 5580 Villers-sur-Lesse.
  • Room: check the capacity, view and amenities of the selected category.
  • Wellness: confirm the opening hours and book treatments well in advance.
  • Restaurants: choose between ARDEN and the Lounge depending on the day of your stay.
  • Allergies: mention them when booking the restaurant.
  • Nature: bring suitable shoes and clothing for the Ardennes weather.

Two days between table, spa and nature

An arrival in the middle of the afternoon leaves time to enjoy the wellness area before dinner. The next day, a walk along the Lesse or an outing in the region can be followed by another moment at the spa.

Château de Vignée works particularly well when the stay remains simple: a carefully chosen room, a reserved table and time left for the landscape. It is this balance between indoor comfort and the surrounding Ardennes that gives the place its character.
