A walkway between the trees, a breakfast basket to be hoisted up to the terrace, and forest all around: the Treelodges of Mont-des-Pins turn a night near Durbuy into a true escape. Here is what makes this address so special, and a few ideas to extend your stay in the region.

Sleeping among the trees, without giving up comfort

In Bomal-sur-Ourthe, Mont-des-Pins has created five eco-friendly cabins linked to the forest by wooden walkways. From the outside, their silhouettes have something of a fairytale about them. Inside, they offer the comfort of a true holiday home: heating, air conditioning, shower, toilet, equipped kitchenette and an open fire.

Four lodges welcome up to four people. The fifth, larger one, can accommodate up to six people and is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Each also has a private relaxation area, with a sauna or hottub depending on the lodge.

Breakfast delivered through the air

In the morning, the stay takes a playful turn: the breakfast basket can be hoisted up to the lodge with a pulley. A simple ritual that delights children as much as the night up in the trees. The estate also offers brunches, food boxes of local products, and barbecue packs to enjoy on the terrace.

Extend the evening at Mont-des-Pins

The private terrace invites you to slow down after a day outdoors. For dinner without leaving the estate, the La Pomme de Pin restaurant offers a different atmosphere, between a warm dining room and a terrace opening onto the garden. The Zen Bar then lets you extend the evening with a drink.

Two outings to take around Bomal-sur-Ourthe

The lodge can also become a starting point for discovering the region. Around La Roche-en-Ardenne, two outings offer very different atmospheres: meeting the animals at the Wildlife Park and visiting the ruins of the Feudal Castle.

Watching the wolves at the Wildlife Park

The Wildlife Park of La Roche-en-Ardenne invites you to take your time observing the animals. Between the wolf enclosure, the paths through the woods, and the park’s other species, the visit is well suited to a family day out. Check the park information before you go for opening hours and the activities on offer.

Getting a higher view at the Feudal Castle

Overlooking La Roche-en-Ardenne and the Ourthe valley, the Feudal Castle completely changes the scenery. Its ruins and viewpoints make you want to stroll through the town before returning to the lodge. The events vary depending on the season; it is best to check the castle programme at the time of your visit.
