Le Moulin des Saules: unusual overnight stay in Walloon Brabant

In Jauchelette, near Jodoigne, the Moulin des Saules houses four accommodations designed for a getaway for two. Two cabins and two bubbles share a wooded estate by the water, each with its own décor and a private jacuzzi.
Choosing between a cabin and a bubble
The four accommodations share water, electricity, traditional toilets, bath linen and a terrace. The essential difference concerns the indoor facilities: the cabins have a bathroom and a kitchenette, while the bubbles have neither a shower nor a kitchen.
The bubbles have a washbasin and supplemental heating. They are therefore better suited to a single night and to travelers comfortable with deliberately minimal comfort. Bathrobes and slippers are not included.
The Fisherman's Cabin, near the pond
This 24 m² cabin includes a double bed, a sitting area, a shower and a mini-kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, sink, dishes and coffee maker. Its terrace has the jacuzzi and a fire pit, close to the private pond.
The kitchenette is used to reheat or assemble a meal, but it does not have cooking hobs. So plan an appropriate dinner or order a package available from the estate.
La Pré en Bulle and La Bulle d’Eau
La Pré en Bulle faces a meadow where horses live. La Bulle d’Eau is set by the river, under a chestnut tree. Both have a double bed, a small water point, toilets and an outdoor jacuzzi, but no shower.
A transparent shell also means a particular relationship with light, weather and temperature. Check the cancellation conditions and seasonal amenities before booking.
The Mill Cabin, the most spacious
At around 50 m², the Mill Cabin offers a four-poster bed, a shower built into a trunk, a clawfoot bathtub and a small kitchen. Its animal-themed décor creates a theatrical atmosphere, very different from the simplicity of a bubble.
Services to book before arrival
The estate offers, among other things, a sweet breakfast, a sauna, a fire-pit pack and various in-room extras. These options are not included automatically. Confirm their price, contents and availability when booking.
The fire pit is only advertised for the Fisherman's Cabin, La Pré en Bulle and the Mill Cabin. If you plan to eat on site, take the limited equipment of the bubbles and kitchenettes into account.
Two outing ideas in Walloon Brabant
CrazyAxes offers axe throwing in Wavre and Ottignies, by reservation. The activity is done with closed shoes and minors from 13 to 16 years old must be accompanied. Check the address of your session, as several packages are offered.
In Jodoigne, the Brasserie des Tours offers another side of local craftsmanship. As visiting and tasting conditions may change, contact the brewery directly rather than relying on the schedule from the old report.
