Choosing the right family accommodation
Vayamundo offers several categories, from rooms for two or three people to family rooms and apartments. The layouts vary: compare the number of beds, separate rooms, the presence of a refrigerator and the services included before booking.
In the hotel package, bed linen and towels are provided and the beds are made on arrival. Towels for the pool are not included, however. Arrival is currently indicated from 17 h and departure before 10 h; confirm these times on your booking.
Aqua l’O, the pool designed for families
The indoor tropical pool includes a large pool with rapids, whirlpools, a children's pool and a paddling pool. The slide may be temporarily unavailable: always check the status of the equipment and the opening hours before planning the day around the pool.
Children remain under the responsibility of the accompanying adults. Remember swimsuits, pool towels and some cash for the lockers to avoid trips back to the room.
A wellness area separate from the aquatic area
The panoramic wellness area offers a quieter atmosphere with a Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, hammam and hydromassage foot baths. Massages, scrubs and facials are booked separately.
Access is subject to age conditions and specific opening hours, different from those of the pool. The facilities are said to be accessible to people with reduced mobility, but it is still useful to contact them in advance to specify any particular need.
Keep moving even when the weather changes
A well-equipped fitness room makes it possible to stay active when the paths are too wet or the weather deteriorates. The available entertainment and facilities vary according to the season, school holidays and the current programme.
For children, check the entertainment calendar rather than relying on an old list of activities. Some outdoor experiences require a minimum age, registration or favourable weather conditions.
Buffet or brasserie: two different rhythms
The Le Buffet restaurant serves breakfast and an evening meal in buffet form, among other things. The Dine & Lounge operates as a brasserie with a terrace overlooking the Ourthe. Opening hours change during school holidays and depending on demand.

Discover Houffalize on foot or by bike
Houffalize is a well-known destination for mountain bikers, but the surroundings can also be explored on foot. Marked trails follow the Ourthe valley and cross wooded hills. Ask for a route suited to the children's age and the group's level.
The Ardennes paths can be muddy, steep and slippery. A successful family outing often depends on a shorter route, good shoes and enough time before nightfall.
